For couples desiring a romantic ambiance, wedding chapels offer a unique and intimate setting to exchange vows or renew your wedding vows. Chapels are used for a specified time rather than all day, making them more cost-effective and ready to go with existing decorations. But how exactly do wedding chapels operate, and what can you expect when choosing one for your big day? Let's dive into the details and answer some common questions about getting married at the Rhinestone Wedding Chapel.

Requirements
Rhinestone Wedding Chapel welcomes couples from all walks of life, provided they meet a few basic requirements:
- Marriage License: Couples must obtain a marriage license from a county clerk's office in Tennessee. Davidson County is the county in Nashville, but we can validate any license from any county in Tennessee. If you live in a different county, you can bring your marriage license from there, and we can validate it too. Start the application online by clicking here!
- Marriage License Requirements in Tennessee:
- Both parties must pick up the license in person (Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4:15 pm, excluding holidays).
- There is one county about half an hour outside of Nashville that is open some Saturdays from 8 am to 12 pm (call 931-684-1921 to verify).
- You will need a valid ID and proof of social security number (card, W-2, tax return, etc.).
- Tennessee has no waiting period or witness requirements, so you can pick up your marriage license, get married (just the two of you), and return it the same day to the county clerk to receive your legal document.
- While we can't vouch for every country, we know that the UK and Canada will recognize a United States marriage. So, you too can get married with us!
- Validation by an Officiant: The county clerk issues the license, but it needs to be validated by an officiant. The clerk's office no longer performs courthouse weddings in Nashville, but we have you covered! We offer a Short & Sweet Ceremony. See here for the details
